Service Description
Highlights • Mysterious, swampy landscapes • Beautiful fall colors • Iconic Southern Cypress Swamps • A unique East Texas cultural experience • Historic town walks • Authentic Texas hospitality Workshop Description Get ready for an East Texas adventure! Caddo Lake and the area surrounding it is a mysterious part of East Texas and rightfully so. The towns here are among the oldest in Texas and are steeped in history. As a part of the Old South you can almost hear the riverboats churning through the bayous on their way to New Orleans. That's why you may think you are in the French Quarter when you see downtown Jefferson, Texas. At Caddo Lake, we'll explore the area the best way possible - by boat. We'll charter a pontoon boat that will take us in the backwater sloughs to see the ancient cypress trees that are draped with Spanish Moss. We'll visit Caddo Lake multiple times so you'll get a chance to photograph it in a variety of lighting. This trip doesn't end at Caddo Lake. We'll take in some culture at various stops around the area. In all, this is a fantastic itinerary and you are certain to come away with some fantastic images.
