Death Valley National Park

Service Description

Death Valley National Park is a land of extremes. There is simply no better way to describe this spot on the map, where temperatures routinely top 110 degrees while neighboring mountain peaks keep their frosty white snow caps. At 282 feet below sea level -the lowest place in North America - sits perhaps the Park’s most iconic spot: Badwater Basin. It is here where otherworldly salt polygons plaster the sprawling terrain near the base of Telescope Peak, which, at 11,000 feet, is the tallest peak on the Panamint Mountain Range. It is the largest National Park in the contiguous United States, as well as the hottest, driest, and lowest. But that hardly tells the complete story of this wild space. What lies between these extremes are hidden gems for landscape photographers interested in looking deep - within a curious landscape, but also within themselves as artists. Death Valley is home to endless photographic opportunities from stunning mountain vistas, haunting and wind-whipped desert sand dunes, salt flats that go on for as far as the eye can see, mud-cracked playas, and colorful badlands. During this workshop, we’ll photograph Death Valley’s iconic locations. At the end of each adventurous and productive day, settle in to comfort as we recount the adventures of the day over dinner at our real-deal desert oasis lodge. Whether you're seeking to refine your craft, expand your portfolio, or simply enjoy the natural gifts provided by the landscape, our Death Valley workshop offers a chance to test and sharpen your photography skills while building a creative and inspired collection of images as diverse as the land itself.
