Service Description

Our lodge, located in the heart of Hemis National Park, benefits from an exceptional support crew of wildlife spotters and guides. The park’s strict regulations permit the lodge to operate only six rooms. For this exclusive tour, we have secured the entire lodge, limiting our group size to a maximum of eight participants. This guarantees a small, focused group, perfect for wildlife enthusiasts seeking an immersive and personalized adventure. We have made two rooms available for single occupancy, offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Whether traveling solo or with a companion, each guest will enjoy the tranquility and exclusivity of this extraordinary location, guided by a team deeply familiar with the region’s rich biodiversity. Hemis National Park, situated in the heart of Ladakh, India, is celebrated as the "Snow Leopard Capital of the World." Encompassing over 4,400 square kilometers, it is a sanctuary for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers eager to encounter the majestic snow leopard. Its rugged landscapes, towering Himalayan peaks, and sparse vegetation create an ideal environment for these rare cats, along with species like blue sheep and Himalayan ibex. The winter months, from January to March, provide the prime opportunity to witness these predators as they venture to lower elevations in search of food. Our journey takes us to Rumbak, a remote corner of the park renowned for its unparalleled opportunities to observe snow leopards in their natural surroundings. The experience of trekking through this dramatic terrain, with its pristine beauty and abundant wildlife, is extraordinary. This is a place where nature thrives in its rawest form. With the expertise of our skilled local guides and trackers, we stand a strong chance of spotting these elusive creatures. Their deep understanding of the snow leopards’ behavior and the challenging terrain enhances every aspect of our adventure. We will also have the chance to explore some of the monasteries and villages around Leh, Ladakh. At Spituk Monastery, we will witness the annual Spituk Festival, a vibrant celebration of Ladakhi culture and spirituality. We'll experience the mesmerizing Cham dances performed by monks in colorful masks and robes, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Surrounded by devotees, we’ll soak in the energy of rituals, prayers, and traditional music, immersing ourselves in an atmosphere filled with joy. PLEASE INQUIRE FOR A FULL ITINERARY
