Service Description
Embark on a week-long photography excursion in the Netherlands during its most colorful period: TULIP SEASON. This season lasts only a few weeks each Spring, and we'll be there for the best of it. As a bonus, we're traveling with one of The Netherlands' best tour guides, whose past guests include a US President! Explore a unique landscape of dikes, polders, and windmills, and gain exclusive access to a private tulips farm in the Beemster Polder – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll visit Amsterdam and its famous canals and spend time in the charming cities of Haarlem, Delft, the Hague, and Hoorn. We’ll also travel little backroads and discover tiny rural villages. The country is a beguiling mix of modern and medieval, rural and urban. Itinerary * Day 1 Arrival and welcome dinner in Amsterdam Day 2 Amsterdam. We’ll explore Amsterdam by foot and by boat, shooting its iconic canals and distinctive architecture. Day 3 Tulips! Spend the day in the Beemster Polder (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) in private tulip fields, capturing the beauty of these flowers. Day 4 Windmills, dikes, and polders : It's Time for a mini road trip, on which we will travel little back roads and discover the wonderful, unique, and charming Dutch countryside. Day 5 Landscape & Van Gogh We’ll hunker down in Veluwe National Park for the day. A beautiful landscape of heathlands, rolling sand dunes, and occasional forest. Additionally, it is home to the Kroller-Muller Museum, home of the world’s second-largest collection of Van Gogh paintings and a serene sculpture garden. Day 6 More Tulips.. and also Delft & The Hague In the Lisse area south of Amsterdam, we’ll spend the morning amongst tulips again. In the afternoon we’ll visit Delft and will have dinner in The Hague. Day 7 Amsterdam Redux We return to Amsterdam to sample some of its newer, innovative urban districts. In the afternoon, we’ll revisit the center to explore some older areas we didn’t quite get to earlier in the week. Day 8 Goodbyes for those with early flights we’ll help see you off to the airport. For those with later flights we’ll have a final photo excursion into the medieval city of Haarlem. *Subject to change Single Supplement is an additional $300

Cancellation Policy
On this excursion, each participant must pay a $1,700 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit, which goes directly to our travel partners in the Netherlands to secure our reservations. A deposit is required upon registration to reserve a spot for this workshop. If booking within 90 days of the trip's start, the total cost of the trip is required to make a reservation. If final payments are not received within 90 days of the trip's start, we can consider your reservation canceled and offer that spot to someone else. If you do cancel, we require written notice in which cancellation fees in the following amounts will apply: If canceled within 90 days prior to departure - the total cost of the trip fee is forfeited. No partial refunds will be made for parts of the workshop that are not used by the client, itinerary changes, or unforeseen circumstances. Russell Graves reserves the right to cancel a trip for any reason. . To that extent, travel insurance is recommended for this and other trips. Please inquire about vendors for travel insurance.
