Highlights - We'll spend time in tulip fields in Beemster Polder (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). - We will explore little back roads and discover the wonderful, unique, charming Dutch countryside. - Discover the essence of historical Dutch heritage by visiting cheese factories, windmills, and clog-making. - We'll visit the cities of Amsterdam, Delft, and the Hague to take in museums, see Delft pottery being made, and see incredible old Dutch architecture. - We'll visit Keukenhof Gardens, which is regarded as the most beautiful garden in the world. - Tulips are the main attraction in the Netherlands at this time of year, so we'll have plenty of rounds in the tulip fields. - Explore Dutch cafes, quaint coffee shops, old churches, and canals. Description Embark on a week-long photography excursion in the Netherlands during its most colorful period: TULIP SEASON. This season lasts only a few weeks each Spring, and we'll be there for the best of it. As a bonus, we're traveling with one of The Netherlands' best tour guides, whose past guests include a US President! Explore a unique landscape of dikes, polders, and windmills and gain exclusive access to a private tulip farm in the Beemster Polder, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll visit Amsterdam and its famous canals and spend time in the charming cities of Haarlem, Delft, the Hague, and Hoorn. We'll also travel little backroads and discover tiny rural villages. The country is a beguiling mix of modern and medieval, rural and urban. Photography Workshop Dates April 18-25, 2036 Eight (8) days and seven (7) nights Starts and ends in Amsterdam, Netherlands (AMS) Location The Netherlands Group Size We will limit this adventure to eight (8) guests. Activity Level and Description This is an easy trip with little to no hiking and only a few short walks from the van. Accommodations We’ll stay in nice, locally inspired hotels during the duration of the stay. Trip Leader Gratuities On these trips, gratuities are not required or expected but they are appreciated if our guests feel exceptional service and value is provided to them. Cancellation Policy
On this excursion, each participant must pay a $1,700 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit, which goes directly to our travel partners in the Netherlands to secure our reservations. A deposit is required upon registration to reserve a spot for this workshop. If booking within 90 days of the trip's start, the total cost of the trip is required to make a reservation. If final payments are not received within 90 days of the trip's start, we can consider your reservation canceled and offer that spot to someone else. If you do cancel, we require written notice in which cancellation fees in the following amounts will apply: If canceled within 90 days prior to departure - the total cost of the trip fee is forfeited. No partial refunds will be made for parts of the workshop that are not used by the client, itinerary changes, or unforeseen circumstances. Russell Graves reserves the right to cancel a trip for any reason. . To that extent, travel insurance is recommended for this and other trips. Please inquire about vendors for travel insurance.
